VitalStim and Fluoroscopy

Today, there is a new treatment available called VitalStim. VitalStim is a specialized form of neuromuscular electrical stimulation designed to treat dysphagia through muscular re-education. VitalStim therapy is the only device and therapy cleared by the FDA to treat dysphagia.

Fluoroscopic Swallow Examination

We offer a comprehensive evaluation of the swallowing mechanism. Patients are given food of different consistencies and swallowing is observed using real time digital fluoroscopy. The examination is supervised by a radiologist and performed by licensed speech pathologists trained to diagnose and treat swallowing disorders.
